this was the first show where i used electronica extensively. the first track, technologik, i played, paused, played other stuff, played some more, mixed richard burton reading over it, paused it, etc. and there were more than the usual number of techno tracks interspersed throughout.
usually when i do my show i drag out my dozens, hundreds of cds and vinyl and have them around me, in case. and then i can run for all apologies (nirvana), or tobacco road (lou rawls) - whatever hits me. this time i kept myself mostly to the stuff i brought up that was sitting on the bookshelf next to my desk. so it was all stuff fresh in my mind, and accordingly, my recent interest in techno shone through. of course my favourite fishbone could not be denied, as the only cassette i had with me. so it was eclectic still, with a bit more electric.
