well, you CAN turn off your phone (or turn of ringer or unplug if it's landline)---but why is it so difficult to do that? I can never turn off my phone and as a result, my phone never let me sleep. Such a weird relationship I have with my phone.

Yes! Exactly Yuko - I never turn off the ringer, even when I plan on sleeping in. Why? Because I don't want to miss anything - I figure people would only call before 9am if it was important. And you know? It was pretty important - getting that particular batch of paperwork done before the weekend. And the I went back to sleep, for a few hours, until my phone rang again. Such a weird relationship I have with my phone.
