Justin,

When you're in NY, give Ali and I a shout. We'd like to introduce you to our daughter Ella. We live in Brooklyn now.

Justin, your collection of poems and pictures are really, really good thus far. I love the theme, as well your clever and orignal drawings. Has Howard seen this body of work?

Of course!

I can't put my finger on it. There's something completely...detached about your writing. I mean as if you're detached from yourself. Even with yourself, there's no raging emotion. No self-pity and wallowing. Little judging of others. Just the fax, ma'am. Entry after entry, month after month, year after year, observations, observations. A willingness to try anything. A lack of squamishness. In the middle of the fray, but floating above.

What kind of icy creature are you? Do you shed tears? Could you feel the presence of the divine, if it came to you?

If pricked...do you bleed?
