Justin's Granma's Ginger Snaps

Man are they good. Crispy, hard, tasty, sugary, gingery, yum. These and a glass of milk can be the high point of any week. Gramma made them with Nebraska ingredients - powdered ginger, crisco.

1.5 cups Crisco
2 cups sugar
Using a mixer (unless you gots real strong arms) mix these two together.

2 eggs
1/2 cup molasses
Add eggs and molasses to the mixture.

ginger snaps 4 cups of flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
.75 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons dried ginger
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons of cloves
Sift all these dry ingredients together. Mix with the other stuff. Then let it sit in a 'fridge for 2 or more hours - this is important for keeping the texture of the dough firm.

Shape bits of dough into balls the size of walnuts and roll them in sugar. Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes. Viola! You've got my favourite cookie!
