HomeSite 4.0
Allaire
Windows

HomeSite, like BBEdit, let's you work over your code with help but without interference. Little menus and keyboard shortcuts, visible HTML with an easy preview mode.

HomeSite has a directory/file browser window, which is nice. It also nice multiple page editing easinesses, like tabs along a consistent HomeSite pane window but I think that's an accomodation to sucky Windows inflexibility. The built-in Browser is good functionality, if sometimes bad cosmetics.

For Windows it's great. I still think the Macintosh file system is better suited to moving files, renaming pictures, just doing web site maintenance stuff. So I have an affinity for BBEdit
