A good big small game.

Pros: Fun to build and fight with your robot
Cons: The tile based command system can be a little slow.

Stop The Press! justin's Review:
Command a squadron of robots to save an embattled republic! Build your own walking death machine with custom weapon configurations! Develop complicated scripts to pilot your mech! Watch the stunning cut-scenes as the enemy reels from your battle successes!

Faselei! offers most all of this throbbing action in a tiny-screen package.

They've given you control over one robot in combat, by allow you to plot the robot's movements in advance. It's the model used by games like RoboSport or RoboRally, and it's definitely more strategic than action oriented. As the game progresses you can get fairly complicated with your strategy, but it's never so complicated that you can't just pick up the game and remember how to get around.

Building your machine is cool - deciding what weapons to use and how to balance ammunition loads.

The game even boasts a fairly memorable plot, where a prince is fighting for the righteous rule of his country and you are working for a noble team of professional mercenaries.

Even from the near mp3-quality opening credits, this games seems a technical marvel. Most of the plot-advancement happens in cut-scenes, where anime-style faces register shock or surprise and speak in short sentences, it's a fairly cinematic game for the small screen. It's a good fun mech strategy simulator for the small screen; it's too bad it was set to emerge only after the demise of the Neo Geo Pocket Color.

Greatest Gaming Moment:
Continually enhancing my mega-mech.

Time Played: 20-100 hours
