We're in the East Village, not Chelsea, but that's splitting hairs. And the dog's name is Chelsie. So it's pretty close anyway. So glad you made it!

Justin, I think you owe me some money from that poker game. Conveniently, that was not mentioned in your summary of the evening events.

Anil - Thank you for having me! Thanks for the clarification - did you spell your dog's name that way to confuse me?

DJ - I will state for the record, for all who read here - you were a confident better who was stacking chips ahead of all others when the game was ended early. If it hadn't been for the untimely arrival of Popeye's fried chicken you might have emerged with a pocket full of my cash, especially since I had subsidized most of the players. But I did get a kiss on the cheek from you in exchange for a loan, which was promptly repaid, so I feel like I gambled less, but won more. Maybe I owe you - at least a rematch.

I came for the Nintendo. I saw the Nipplegate. I stayed for the Popeye's.

As you know, timing is everything, and there is no such thing as luck. I claim 4/7000ths of your big screen TV, which you may try and win back in a later poker game. However, if we play 6996 more hands of poker, I may end up with the whole thing.

Thanks for writing your website, I enjoy it.

It's rather fascinating how similar themes keep popping up in things I read. I noticed that you had dinner with Caitlin Zaloom -- I didn't know the name until I attended a talk she gave here at Indiana a few weeks ago. She's doing interesting research -- to be honest, it was much more interesting than I thought it was going to be. I guess this probably means I'll have to buy her book...
