You are a very lucky man having Jane in your life.

Remember, you don't know what you've got till its gone.

Many men would love to have a woman like Jane.

Take Care Justin.

Thanks for that comment Taylor - I'll feel better about being ordered around the dungeon after that.

it *is* all about ball lightning.

also i exploit the game so terribly i don't even need my drawven companion (aka Justin). maybe this is a thread for GGA but the game is designed in such a way as to make it a little too easy. money is meaningless, because with the character import/export feature, you have in effect limitless supplies. i keep a human dummy and a dwarf dummy around because my elf can't carry many items. i've stripped them naked for absolute efficiency and they are loaded with potions and arrows and other gear. low on health? no problem, i just import the archer and have him drop off some potions, then dismiss him again.

yes, i am a cruel mistress.

is this cheating? or "advantage playing"?

I wouldn't consider it cheating, other than you're cheating yourself out of the experience of the game. I only look down on cheating if it's multiplayer, where you're givng yourself an advantage over another person. However, you are taking the challenge out of the game for yourself. The import character feature really wasn't designed so that you could have a mule - they would have given you a larger carrying capacity if they did.

I like playing single player games to challenge myself. I mean, it's only a computer, who cares if you can beat it? You should play the game in the way that you get the most enjoyment out of it. I can't stand games where I'm invincible, there's no challenge in it for me. I crank games up to the hardest setting the first time I play it (unless the computer is cheating, like Civ). If I don't, the game's too damn easy and I don't enjoy it. But, I also have enough discipline to not turn on cheats or exploit bugs - only beause I know I'll have a better time if I don't.

Not everyone is like me though. There are plenty of people who run through FPS games with godmode/unlimited ammo and have a blast doing so. Good for them. They're probably losing 90% of the game time they could have had, and they'll get bored rather quickly, but if they enjoy it, I don't give a damn. Besides, they'll get spanked in multiplayer anyway.

Just to make myself clear - play games however you want to, but know that on a level playing field the disciplined gamer gets the frag =].
